Hello! We're the developers of upload.farm, a Stardew Valley community site that shares a summary of your progress in the game. Tell me about upload.farm! We wrote <a href="http://upload.farm" target="_blank">upload.farm</a> a couple of weeks after Stardew Valley was released because we wanted to be able to share pictures of our farms and our progress with friendships with each other, something that wasn't easy from the game itself. Since then, we've had over 185,000 uploaded farms, had 4.2 million page views, and have become a popular tool within the Stardew Valley community. It's great to see our work is so useful to such a fantastic community! Why are you on Patreon? Until now we have had to cover all the server costs/domain registration ourselves, so we've decided to see if users are interested in helping us with this on Patreon. We also have some ideas for developing the site further which become more viable if the site is able to sustain itself financially! Why don't you use advertising? Honestly? We tried. However, because there isn't a lot of written content on the site, big ad networks rejected our applications. We toyed with using less reputable advertisers, but ended up only with intrusive clickbait adverts, which we immediately decided against (ugh). In the end, the only advertising we managed was a link-swap with Chucklefish, the publisher of Stardew Valley, which appears on the front page of our site, and for which we're not paid. What's in it for me? We want to keep the site free for everyone to use, but decided it was only fair to offer our patrons something extra. By supporting us, you'll get access to the auto-uploader tool (currently for Windows and Mac). This app will run alongside Stardew Valley and automatically backup and upload your savegames to upload.farm. It's a little thank you from us for your support! Who is this "us" anyway? upload.farm is developed and maintained by Rob, a university researcher based in Wiltshire, UK, and Ash, a web developer based in Marbella, Spain.
